How do I know for sure if there is a meth lab in my neighborhood, and if so what can I do to stop it?
blue eyes asked:
I definitely smelled a harsh chemical (like a cleaning agent) outside a home tonight. I live in a nice neighborhood and don’t want this around our kids. What do you think?

I think you should go around your neighborhood and bang on every door in the area, and demand to go inside to look for illegal drugs. Explain that you smell chemicals, and that you know what drugs smell like so , you would like to check their home out. It’s obvious that you know all about drugs, you must be one them! No offense, but good god why are you such a freak?Hey why don’t you call 911 and tell them that your whole neighborhood is cooking meth! I bet you’re a blond Republican!
Report it to the police. Have them notify a drug enforcement officer . They have drug dogs to sniff out any drugs
The USUAL smell for a meth lab is very heavy and is almost overpowering. It smells like ammonia (think cat box that shoulda been changed three weeks earlier) but that could depend on the components used to make it. If it is the typical lab the bad guys will use ANHYDROUS AMMONIA. With new regulations they are passing most of that now has a pink dye in it so some cookers are getting away from that and have reverted to other methods. If you suspect a lab IMMEDIATELY call police as they have a propensity to explode at times. You can make your call anonymously if you choose.
It will probably blow up before anyone does anything about it….hopefully if you report it i won’t
