How to DRY CLEAN a comforter at HOME?

dfx asked:

I have allergies and have to wash my bedding every week. I would like to purchase a nice comforter that is dry clean only. Are there home dry clean kits for comforters - like Dryel? I don’t know anything about the kits: how to use them, what they come with, are the bags large enough to fit a KING size comforter. Do they really clean without leaving a harsh chemical odor…?

I ‘d like to know if anyone has had success dry cleaning comforters at home before I buy the bedding. Can anyone answer these questions?

What I really need to know is… are there kits big enough to clean a KING sized comforter? And is there any harsh odor? How did it work for you? Which kits would you recommend?

I have had success just putting my comforter in the washer on gentle using cold water. Then hang/air dry it. No problems ever. I never checked out Dryel - I always thought the bags were too small for a King Duvet.
