Rolled up newspapers. Wack ‘em really good.
I would stay away from the rolled up newspaper…while effective, you would have to refer to your cleaning skills to deal with the aftermath…
Really, the best thing for spiders is to grab some tissue, grab them with it, and flush…make sure you don’t have any areas that are wide open, letting them in, and don’t let them build webs and lay eggs.
While you probably won’t completely rid the house of spiders, you will eventually get rid of most of them.
BigRon nailed it.
Sevin dust is a fabulous bug killer.
It’s used for killing mites, spiders, etc.

Look for their cobweb and catch em’ then put them outside. I have a brush wand with an extention rod on it to dust for cobwebs..I also use it outside on the house..it work great
I keep a little jar in the house for that very reason. I don’t mind a few in the house…their benificial because they catch the little flying insects that sneak into your house…dandy long legs are good insect catchers…..though their not classified as a Spider. I don’t mind any of them but I don’t want to share my pillow with the little hairy guys. My mans hairy enough!!
Good luck!

Cotton balls soaked in pure mint extract and placed out of sight where spiders might travel
