You should be very cautious in the cleaning agents you use…I would say nothing more than soap and water. All of the cleaners put off awful fumes that are extremely damaging to healthy lungs, let alone compromises lungs. Be very careful. If it is neccessary you use these agents try to ventilate the room/space as best as possible. Best of health to you.
To answer your question, yes - the fumes can irritate the respiratory tract and you already have limited function as it is. Change them! There are natural alternatives and most supermarkets have a shelf (or part of one) devoted to eco-friendly cleaning products. They’re a little pricey but it’s your health and emphysema is irreversible. Or you can use Murphy’s Oil Soap. It’s not as expensive and it has no harsh chemicals.
