If a bit of stubble or a five o’ clock shadow is going to ruin your family’s Christmas, they need therapy, in my opinion.
I’ve found that shaving creams specifically made to try and prevent razor burn and bumps don’t work…so don’t waste your money. Shaving right after you’re out of the shower is best because your facial hair will be softer. But don’t use hot water to rinse your razor because it will cause your skin to inflame. I use cold water to get those erector pili muscles at the base of every hair to contract and stand the hair more upright and easier to shave. Make sure to use ample shaving cream for good lubrication and try to minimize the number of times you shave over every spot. Even with these preventive measures I still tend to get bumps. It also helps to wash your face afterward and use a sterilizing agent, like a aftershave that contains alcohol, to eliminate bacteria. Don’t eat pore clogging greasy food and try to minimize touching your face afterward because they can carry bacteria and oils. I get the best results when I adhere to these guidelines. Thank God for electric razors though…
The bumps come from cutting off the tops of the pores. You need some kind of product with rubbing alcohol in it. Most people use after shave it does more than make you smell good. In a pinch you can use plain rubbing alcohol.
first shve in the direction of hair growth then apply more cream then shave the opposite direction of hair growth for a smooth finish…trust me this will work
