I live in,Orlando Florida, a mobile home?

paula b asked:

I have lived here most of my life, 44 years so call me dumn, but here it goes.
We have Roaches, all kinds of roaches (I don’t ask them what kind they are,I don’t get this personal thank you), water bugs,( Palmeto bugs).
I know a professional is best, but what’s the next best thing?
Which store shelf bug killers really work and keeps them away for as long as possible? Our roaches laugh at Borex acid..
I know they could servive a Nucular war(God forbid),I want to control them as much as possible, in electronics ,P/C’s, etc..
How can I best break the breeding cycle? Birth Controls for roaches.
We keep the place clean, but not perfect.
I’d love some real experts to answer this.
Home remodies, secrets you know work besides the controls only pest control services can get hold of.
I can’t afford all that, but I need to get the upper hand here.
Limeted chemicals, no fumes would be best.
I have pets, kids,allergies,all that..
The roaches are one cause of the allergies I know.
Help.

Is there a good home treatment for rough, dry hands?

jayc_33618 asked:

I recently started work in a Borders cafe. I have never done food service work before and all the dish washing and cleaning has exposed my hands to some very harsh chemicals. In addition, it is winter here. As a result my hands are very rough, dry and cracking. I don’t have a great deal of money to spend, so I was wondering if anyone knew of any homeopathic treatments, using common household ingredients that would not cost much, that would be good for relieving my hands, and softening them up?

How do I dispose of toxic cleaning products?

Lola76 asked:

I want to “go green” with my home cleaning products. How do I dispose of my old ones? I have read many scary things about them so I don’t want to use them up.
A website I found said to pour them down the drain. Is there a better way? I don’t want to contaminate the water with these chemicals. Thanks!

How does one clean the underside of an iron with a teflon base?

Jasper asked:

I have a steam iron with a teflon coated base, which has some synthetic cloth (from my mattress) that is stuck to it. It is a big hassle because some of it comes off every time I iron some other article of clothing, and stains it. Is there a product available to remove it (preferably without scratching the teflon), or some other home remedy / chemical which one can use? Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thanks!
